This project proposes a collective residential community for active-duty military students at The Ohio State University, a population often navigating the dual demands of service and academic life. The design creates a hybrid living-learning environment that balances privacy with community, integrating flexible residential units with shared spaces for study, gathering, and restoration. The building massing is broken into smaller, interconnected volumes to foster a sense of scale and belonging, while the site design establishes layered transitions between public and private realms. Together, these strategies support both independence and connection, offering a residential framework that promotes well-being, adaptability, and successful integration into campus life.
